WELCOME TO MAISON DODO

Maison Dodo is situated approximately five kilometres west of the historic
market town of Bergerac in the quiet hamlet of Le Monteil, part of the
commune of Lamonzie St. Martin, in the heart of the Dordogne valley of
South West France. The private self contained gite is set in six acres
of “parc” and hay fields which it shares with an old wine
“chai” (store), recently renovated by the current owners who
live there year round with their cats and dogs. Vines growing
side by side with fields of sunflowers, maize and tobacco border the property.
Nearby cattle and goats graze and the region's ducks and geese wander
freely.

Recently renovated to a very high standard the accommodation comprises
three double bedrooms, two of which can be used as twin bedded rooms,
one en suite shower room with WC, wash basin and shower and a further
shared bathroom with WC, bath, wash basin and walk-in shower. Both bathrooms are equipped with hairdryers and
the supplied bedding and towels are changed weekly.
The large comfortable open plan living area incorporates a fully equipped
kitchen with fridge/freezer, fan oven, four-ring hob, dishwasher, washer
drier and microwave. The sitting area contains a radio/CD/tape player
and there is a television, DVD player and Sky satellite dish with basic freesat box, or full reception should you wish to bring
your own Sky box and card.
The large terrace is furnished with dining table and chairs, sun loungers
and a charcoal fired barbeque. The house has electric radiators, heated
towel rails in both bathrooms and a wood burning stove for year round
occupancy.
